 |
Keiga worked as an illustrator for Dutch visitors to Nagasaki. His artistic style was strongly influenced by the realistic, European style of drawing and in 1836 he published a four volume picture album entitled SÅmoku Kajitsu Shashin Zufu (Illustrated Album of Plants, Trees, Flowers and Fruits Drawn from Life). The 68 pictures of plants included in the album are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
